1. Overview

This refund policy applies to all paid subscriptions and purchases made through Duowise. Each lesson generation consumes AI processing resources — including large language model inference and text-to-speech synthesis — that cannot be recovered. As such, all purchases are generally non-refundable, subject to the limited exceptions described below.

2. 24-Hour Refund Window

If you are not satisfied with your Duowise Pro subscription, you may request a full refund within 24 hours of your initial purchase, provided that you have generated no more than 3 lessons during that period. This allows you to evaluate the service before committing. If you have exceeded 3 generated lessons within the 24-hour window, the subscription is considered fully utilized and is non-refundable.

This 24-hour refund window applies only to the initial subscription purchase. Recurring subscription renewals are non-refundable.

3. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable under any circumstances: subscription renewals (monthly recurring charges); purchased Lesson Passes once the associated lesson has been generated; and any subscription where more than 3 lessons have been generated, regardless of the time elapsed.

Each generated lesson consumes irreversible AI computing resources. Once a lesson is created, those resources cannot be reclaimed, which is why consumed lessons are treated as delivered digital goods.

4. European Union and United Kingdom Customers

If you reside in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that provides a statutory right of withdrawal for digital content purchases, you are entitled to a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.

However, by subscribing to Duowise and initiating lesson generation, you expressly consent to the immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once AI-generated lesson content has been delivered to you. If you have not generated any lessons, you remain eligible for a full refund within the statutory period.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact our support team at [email protected] with your account email address and the reason for your refund request. We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds will be processed through the original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. No further charges will be made after cancellation. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period.

We will respond to all cancellation-related customer requests within 3 business days.

7. Abuse and Chargebacks

Filing a fraudulent chargeback or dispute with your payment provider instead of contacting us directly may result in permanent account termination. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can resolve the matter promptly.
